Hal’s Computer Repairs offers a PC building service for any* parts you may have.

This service incurs a $150 call out fee which, covers travel* and the first hour onsite, After which we charge $150/h in 15 minute blocks. Should we attend site and find that your parts are incompatible you will incur the full call out fee and any applicable travel.

HAL’s Computer Repairs offers onsite diagnostics for your convenience. This service starts at $100 for the initial call out, covering the first 30 minutes onsite and travel within Tamworth.

Should diagnostics/repairs take longer than 30 minutes, we charge $100/h in 15 minute blocks, rounding to the closes full block.

(1) Should your location be outside of the 15 KM radius from Tamworth, you will also incur a $40/h travel fee starting from the time of departure to your location.

HAL’s Computer Repairs offers onsite installation of new equipment, regardless of if it was purchased through us or elsewhere*. This service starts at $80 for the initial call out, covering the first 30 minutes onsite and travel within Tamworth.

Should diagnostics/repairs take longer than 30 minutes, we charge $100/h in 15 minute blocks, rounding to the closes full block.

(1) Should your location be outside of the 15 KM radius from Tamworth, you will also incur a $40/h travel fee starting from the time of departure to your location.

*Proof of purchase is required to assess weather the devices can be installed by us. Devices should still be in a new-in-box condition and have not been setup prior. If devices are not in a new in box condition we will inform you and offer you the opportunity continue engaging our services for the full Onsite Diagnostic rates. Should you decline you will be charged the full $80 for the call out plus applicable travel.

Hal’s Computer Repairs offers a comprehensive custom PC building service.
This service is offered in 3 stages.

1. Consult – $60
   We will have a discussion with you to assess your needs for the machine. Once complete we will draw up a quote for the machine. The initial consult is rebated should you decide to continue with the build.
2. Ordering, Assembly and Testing
   1. Ordering
      Once the quote is approved and parts paid for, we will order the parts in and commence assembly of your new PC. As Custom PCs can be quite valuable, we require upfront payment for the parts cost of the machine.
   2. Assembly – $140/h
      Upon parts arrival we will commence assembly of your new PC. This usually takes between 1-3 hours and is billed at $140/h. We also cap the price for this stage of the service at  $420 (3h) for most systems, we will inform you if you are eligible for capped price.
   3. Testing – $100
      Once the machine is build it will be tested for a period of 24 consecutive hours to ensure proper functionality. At this stage, should any parts be defective from the supplier we will notify you and seek replacement parts from our supplier. You may elect to forgo this stage, however we cannot offer free servicing on the machine if you forgo this stage as we will have been unable to validate it before leaving our possession.
3. Delivery – Free*
   After the machine is built and tested we will organise a time with you to deliver the machine. This can either be pickup or drop off to your location. Pickup is free of charge, drop-off is free within an hour or Tamworth. outside of this travel will be charged at the standard travel rates.
